Oxfordshire campsite picks up prestigious award

The AA yesterday announced the winners of its Campsites of the Year for England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

The overall winner was Lincoln Park Farm in Oxfordshire, a former winner in 2002. The new owners have developed the site which now includes two indoor swimming pools, a cafe, fully-serviced hard-standing pitches and a fully-equipped gym.

In the Scotland and Northern Ireland category, the award went to Ballyness Caravan Park in Bushmills, Co Antrim while Home Farm Caravan Park on the Isle of Anglesey waved the flag for Wales.

The AA has now launched its 2010 Caravan and Camping Britain & Ireland Guide, which provides details of over 1,000 annually inspected parks plus advice on preparing for your trip. You'll also find details of the winners and the AA Regional Campsites of the Year.

The AA Caravan and Camping Guide is available on the AA website for £9.99.
