Which is the best tow car to buy?
I'm 64 years old and due to retire soon and intend on spending my early retirement caravanning to all those places I never had the time, or money, to see when I was younger. Most of my life I've done my own car servicing. In retirement I'll definitely have time so I'm looking for a retirement car which will easily pull about 1350kg of caravan but which I can work on. For fuel consumption reasons I guess that it has to be a diesel. Can you make any recommendations?

Should I buy an Audi V6 diesel for a tow car?
I've seen a 2006 Audi 2.5 litre V6 diesel which I think I've fallen in love with. It looks immaculate and it drives like a brand new car. I know that on paper it will have no trouble towing my caravan but I get conflicting reports about Audi reliability. What is your view?

Can I tow a caravan with a classic car?
I've got a 1959 Ford Galaxie. I hope eventually to get a classic caravan of the same era to tow behind it, but in the meantime I'd like to be able to tow our 1995 Swift to car shows. The problem, of course, is trying to get a towbar for it, and wiring the car to power the caravan's road lights. Any suggestions?
